    Pieminister Goes Veggie for British Pie Week

    A couple of months ago, I went to the much revered Pieminister (read more about that here), and today I returned to sample their brand new VEGGIE pie. I wouldn’t normally choose a veggie pie, as I’ve yet to come across one that sounds particularly enticing. However, Pieminister went all out to create something to tempt even the most stubborn of carnivores during British Pie Week this year, and so they created the Saag Pie-Neer – a pea, paneer, spinach, potato, chilli & mango pie.     Pieminister is a huge success nowadays, but it started rather humbly some years ago with just a couple of good friends that loved pie. Good pie. From a small stall in Bristol, their pies spread to London, to the Queen (ooh!), and after winning a ton of awards, they (finally) headed to the north. Pieminister opened in Leeds last year, and this large dining establishment has a brand new menu, and a cocktail bar to boot.
